ANGEL VAZQUEZ; WINEMAKER

Angel Vazquez, from Chihuahua, Mexico, has been a Winemaker for Laeticia Vineyards in Arroyo Grande since the year 2000. This dedicated gentleman has been able to cultivate the flavor and soul of the grape, becoming a true connocieur in the tasting process.
Angel has lived in Southern California for 33 years, 17 of those spent working at Zaca Winery. There he started farming the grape and gradually acquired experience in every stage of the production of wine. Selim Zilkha, the owner of Laeticia Winery since 1998, recognized the value that Mr. Vazquez would contribute in the realization of winery and offered Angel the opportunity to further develop his skills in the winery business. This recruitment was fundamental in the evolution of Angel's own dream; reaching success by having his hard work appreciated by many.
Those who know Angel tell you he is a serious, very dedicated man with impeccable integrity. Angel enjoys his work immensely due to the variety of activities that winemaking offers. When asked what his favorite stage of the work is, he responds that the 10 month sampling process is the most enjoyable. To be able to declare the taste of Award winning wines-as are the Pinot Noir, the Pinot Blanc and the flavorful champagne, Brut Cuvee-makes it so that the Laeticia Winery has as a Winemaker, a Latino Man, worthy of our attention.

Ángel Vázquez, de Chihuahua, México, es creador de vinos para las Bodegas Laeticia en Arroyo Grande desde el ano 2000. Este dedicado Señor ha logrado cultivar el paladar y alma de la uva a hacerse un verdadero entendido en la degustación de vinos.
Después de 33 anos en California y 17 anos de ellos trabajando en las Bodegas Zaca, Ángel conquisto a sus dueños adquiriendo el conocimiento de cada etapa de la producción de vinos, empezando por la cosecha. Selim Zilkha, dueño de las Bodegas Laeticia desde 1998, reconoció el valor de Ángel Vázquez, y al realizar su visión, le ofreció la oportunidad para emprenderse mayormente en sus bodegas. Esta movida para Ángel fue fundamental para la evolución de su propio sueño; que sus esfuerzos sean apreciados por la gente.
Todos los que conocen a Ángel dicen que es un hombre serio, muy dedicado y con una integridad impecable. Ángel disfruta mucho de su trabajo por la variedad de actividades que le brinda la producción de vino. Cuando le pregunto su función preferida, responde que los 10 meses que lleva madurar la degustación de cada variedad de vino en lo que más disfruta. Poder declarar el sabor de vinos ganadores de premios como es el Pinot Noir, el Pinot Blanc y el rico champagne Brut Cuvee, hace que las Bodegas Laeticia tengan como creador de vinos, un Latino que merece nuestra atención.
