Mark Anthony For those of you not fortunate enough to catch Marc Anthony Tuesday, July 30 at the Santa Barbara Bowl, you missed a night of pure dancing and shaking, even if only in your seat. The 7 pm show opened with the up-and-coming all-girl-group Soluna, (think Destiny’s Child-meets-J. Lo) whose 5-or-6-song-set left you wishing they played longer. As if it weren’t already off to a good start, comic Joey Vega took to the stage and had everyone from the floor to the “nose bleed” section cracking up at his Latin humor. Finally when nighttime came so did the much-awaited salsa maestro Marc Anthony, along with his 14-piece band that pumped out his much-grooved-to hits and then some. Even if you didn’t own any of his albums it wouldnot have mattered, Anthony delivered such an energetic show complete with high-fives and hand-shakes to the audience during the set, that the only thing that mattered was that you were smart enough to buy tickets.   Mark Anthony Para esos de ustedes que no tuvieron la fortuna de ver a Marc Anthony el martes julio trece en el Santa Barbara Bowl, se perdieron una gran noche de baile, aunque solo en sus asientos. El espectáculo comenzó a las 7 PM y fue abierto por el grupo femenino llamado Soluna (piensen en el grupo musical de Destiny’s Child, mezclado con Jennifer López), quien cantó 5 o 6 canciones, y dejaron a uno queriendo más. Y como si eso no fuera un buen comienzo, el cómico Joey Vega tomó el escenario y tuvo a toda la audiencia doblándose de risa con su humor Latino. Finalmente al caer la noche, ascendió al escenario el gran maestro de salsa, Marc Anthony, junto a su grupo de 14 integrantes que “echó la casa por la ventana” con su acompañamiento musical. Nada mas importo en ese instante, puesto que Marc Anthony prendió el escenario con un show energético de baile y saludos cálidos para la audiencia; lo único que importaba en ese momento era el haber comprado boletos y el haber sido testigos de un espectáculo fenomenal.
