Tinta Latina, while not a political periodical,
would like to take this opportunity to extend
a warm gracious Thank You to all the members
of the armed forces fighting the war against
Iraq. Whether or not we agree or disagree
with U.S. involvement, there are young men
and women risking their lives every day and
that merits our acknowledgement.
As seasons change, April rains bring about
a myriad of radiant, aromatic May flowers,
and as a south coast resident, these are the
times that I'm sure we find it effortless
to justify why we pay astronomical rents and
mortgages; we live in paradise.

Tinta Latina, a pesar de no ser una revista
política, quiere aprovechar esta oportunidad
para expresar el agradecimiento a todos los
miembros de las fuerzas armadas que se encuentran
en el frente, en la guerra contra Irak. Estemos
o no de acuerdo con la participación
de Estados Unidos, existen jóvenes
hombres y mujeres arriesgando sus vidas día
tras día que merecen nuestro reconocimiento.
Con el cambio de las estaciones, las lluvias
de abril traen consigo miles de aromáticas
y radiantes flores de mayo y como residente
de la costa sur, este es el momento en que
estoy segura de que encontramos sin esfuerzo
la justificación del pago de astronómicas
rentas e hipotecas. Vivimos en el paraíso.
